Oliver is a homeless dog who came to a family’s yard in Memphis, Tennessee (USA). Animal control went looking for him, but every time one approached the dog, he jumped over the fence and out of the yard, like it was a game. which agents set up a humane trap to ensnare him, eventually taking him to Memphis Animal Services.
Shelter staff believe that Oliver may have had a home at one time, as he is a very intelligent dog who loved food and treats, and knew that if he listened and behaved well, he would. would have a lot.
This dog won’t give up his food bowl

Katie Pemberton, community engagement specialist at Memphis Animal Services, told The Dodo:
“I met him the first day he arrived and he sat down with me right before I showed him, I had some treats. So of course, as soon as the treats came out, he was even more eager to sit down. The more he knew me, the more he pressed himself against the bars of his kennel to let me pet him. “

Oliver loved food so much that he quickly became very attached to his food bowl and began taking it with him wherever he went.
The first night he arrived at the shelter, the field supervisor walked past his kennel in the animal control admissions room and noticed him with his bowl in his mouth, Katie said.

Katie said:
“Her cute trick was very effective because she gave her more food! Then, when he moved into his permanent kennel, he continued to do so. He had his bowl in his mouth most of the time. “
Maybe someone from Oliver’s past taught him the trick of picking up his food bowl. It is also possible that you have been without food at some point and are worried that you will lose sight of your plate and no longer be fed.

At the shelter, Oliver continued to carry his food bowl and the shelter workers found him incredibly adorable. But, if Oliver didn’t find a rescue group or home, he would soon be euthanized.
Shelter volunteers began taking photos of his habit and posting them on social media, and it didn’t take long for the rest of the world to fall in love with Oliver as well.

The shelter received an unusual number of inquiries about Oliver after his photos went viral.
Katie said:
“I wish all dogs had as many people interested in adopting them. “

Oliver’s love for his bowl got him noticed, which eventually led his forever family to get into it.
Oliver was adopted and is now home with his new family, and of course he was overjoyed when he found out his food bowl would go with him.

This little dog now has the best home a dog could wish for, where he never has to worry about going hungry again.
