Rescue teams came across an adorable but heartbreaking scene when they found a dog sleeping on a construction site. Surprisingly, the dog had gone to the only place he knew he could help: the hospital! It’s no wonder that people in need of help also go there.
Suzette Hall, avid animal rescuer and founder of Logan’s Legacy, says there was a special bond between her and the dog; as if the little dog somehow knew that she would be his savior.
Suzette told The Dodo:
“He just appeared there. There was no one around, nothing. »
Small homeless dog found curled up in blanket

Huddled in a corner of the hospital under construction, the little dog had taken refuge and remained unnoticed until construction workers came across it the next day. And even though they didn’t know where he came from or how he got there, they decided to help him.
Employees initially failed to capture the dog, which they later named Elliot. Naturally, he was terrified of anyone approaching him and instantly running away from any pursuers.

After many failed attempts, the workers chose to find an experienced rescuer to help save Elliot. In the meantime, they went out of their way to make sure I was as happy and relaxed as possible.
Suzette says:
“They left him a blanket, he went to lie down on it. And he just waited on his little blanket every day after that. »
Workers diligently prepared food and water for the dog, then managed to locate Suzette’s coordinates. As soon as they informed her, she rushed to their aid without hesitation.

The lifeguard said:
“When I walked in he was there, lying on the blanket. »
The rescuer knew the dog was shy and therefore required a gentle approach; however, he didn’t even give them the chance to get closer to each other.
Suzette remembers:
“As soon as he saw me, he ran. He was hiding everywhere. We couldn’t find him for a while, but he knew he couldn’t get out. »

After an exhaustive search, the volunteer decided to set a humane trap with a delicious bite to eat, hot dogs that always tempt hungry dogs.
Suzetta added:
“Finally, after two hours, he fell into the trap. »
The volunteer rushed Elliot to the vet, where they ran tests to assess his general well-being. The dog had several infections which were quickly treated with antibiotics, but one discovery surprised them unexpectedly.

After the vet did some x-rays, they discovered that Elliot had swallowed a small spring due to his desperate hunger. Luckily, he didn’t need any further medical attention and was able to expel her on his own. Once recovered, Elliot went to join a loving foster family who care for him until he can find a forever home.

Since arriving in his foster home, Elliot has lived his life to the fullest. At first he was shy and fearful, but since then he has blossomed in the love of his adoptive mother, who helped him come out of his shell. Now he is charming and affectionate.
After learning of Elliot’s love for his blanket at the construction site, his adoptive mother decided to surprise him with the ultimate gift: a blanket tower. Of course, Elliot was instantly obsessed with his cozy new mountain.

Despite his relentless search, Elliot still holds out hope that he will soon find his perfect forever home. And his rescuers are convinced that a perfect family awaits him.
