Great was the surprise of the employees of a veterinary clinic located in Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará, when a stray dog entered the establishment on its own. Approaching and examining her, he saw that it was a medical emergency and the dog needed help as quickly as possible.
What happened was recorded by one of the local security cameras and you can see the veterinarian Dayse Silva assist the animal, surprised not only because it is from the street, but also because no one was accompanying it.
“He is from the streets, he has no owner, he came here alone. I looked at the camera footage outside and saw him lying under a tree a bit before he went to the vet, ”said the woman in an interview with Globo G1 media outlet, according to the Depor portal.
“He came and showed his leg, I went to see what was wrong with him and I realized he had bleeding in his chest and a nail injury,” he said. added. After assisting him and carrying out a general check-up, they detected that the dog had a transmissible venereal tumor.
“He will be hospitalized for 30 days for the cancerous tumor, he will receive chemotherapy treatment and then he will be available for adoption. I am very happy to be able to help, I hope to be able to find a good home ”, declared the specialist and confirmed that she will bear the costs of the treatment.
Dayse Silva is part of an animal welfare association that usually leaves food and water in front of the clinic to feed street animals. She did not hesitate to be satisfied with having helped the animal which, for the moment, does not have a name.
