This sweet Labrador mix dog usually welcomes mom home each day with an amazing treat.
Levi is a charming and affectionate Labrador mix who has learned never to greet someone with empty paws. And it’s that the cunning boy is so excited every time his mother comes home that he can’t go out to greet her without first finding the perfect gift to show her his love.
Of course, when it comes to Levi’s gifts, his mom, Lori Eddins, knows it’s the thought that counts. The sweet dog often finds the most absurd and adorable gifts for his mother, and she loves it in her furry friend.
Lori told The Dodo:
The very first thing that stands out is when he brought me an open, half-chewed box of screws. So, I took him to the vet for x-rays.
The dog always greets mom with a gift

Luckily the lovely pooch hadn’t eaten anything from the screw box and was healthy, but Lori’s reaction to the ‘gift’ seemed to encourage the dog to continue the sweet routine.
Lori says:
I think my pleading and chattering for him to return the box of screws might be what inspired his deliveries. He thought it was great!

Since then, the adorable pooch often gives his mum something special when she comes home after a long day at work.

Levi’s mother says:
He brought everything from his toys, to bones and blankets, to clumps of grass, pieces of cardboard or paper (I call them “maps”) and lumber. My favorite was when he found where the flower bed had been cleaned and brought me flowers. If he meets me at the door empty-handed, I let him carry my keys to the door, and he’s so proud.

Of course, some of his presents don’t sit well with Lori. On some occasions, he brings her horse manure or tries to take one of the chickens from the property to give as a gift to his mother.
And of course, although the hens don’t like being the gift so much, Lori is so grateful to have such a generous dog, who generally fills her life with joy.

Lori makes sure her beloved dog feels her thanks.
The woman finally says:
I give him big hugs and thank him as if he had brought me the winning lottery ticket. Most of the things I give back to her, some end up in the trash. I saved the flowers!
