This very temperamental rescue cat now loves to be cuddled thanks to the love he received from his foster family.
A litter of kittens was rescued in time and taken to a veterinary clinic for help. One of the cats was more fearful than his brothers and needed to learn how to socialize with people.
The little kitten was completely dirty and the color of his fur was not visible until he took a bath. Although he felt safe, the feline continued to hide behind his siblings and was too scared to move.
Sparkle Cat Rescue located in Burlington, North Carolina took him in and immediately set up a foster home.

The feline named Fish was very shy and used to hide in a corner. Two rescue center volunteers named Amanda and Garrett provided the little one with a comfortable, quiet room to help him relax.
Slowly, Fish relaxed with her adoptive parents and accepted their hugs and love, gradually beginning to appreciate the hugs.
Despite these advances, Fish was still very shy and clung to Amanda and Garrett for her safety. The kitten insisted on lots of cuddling and cuddling sessions throughout the day as a measure of comfort.
Rescuers told Love Meow:
“We have no doubt Fish will thrive with all the love that comes her way.”
Thanks to his parents and their care, Fish let loose his curious kitty personality and started playing around the house instead of retreating to a hiding place. He was able to explore new spaces with his newfound confidence and became more active every day.
When Fish was finally ready to meet Basil, the family’s resident cat, the kitten was head over heels in love with his new friend. She rubbed her face in it and began to follow Basil into the house. The older cat is a former Sparkle Cat Rescue, and he took the little guy under his wing like he knew exactly what the little guy needed.
The rescue center said:
“Basil is an excellent guardian and he grooms and plays with Fish. Fish thrives in his foster home, where he awaits the next step to finding a forever home. He will need a friendly cat companion to bond with of friendship and an adopter with time to cuddle.”
Thanks to the rescue center and the care of his foster family, Fish has grown into a loving and happy big cat. Now everyone is hoping that they will soon find a suitable home to continue thriving with a wonderful family.
