A family abandoned their dog in a California shelter, apparently because they no longer had time to care for her.
This 15-year-old dog named Cutie was abandoned by her family because “they no longer had time for her.” She was delivered to the Carson Animal Care Center in Gardenia, California, and since she arrived, Cutie had no idea why she was there.
According to the shelter volunteers, since her arrival Cutie sat bored in her kennel, looked scared and did not want to leave.
She hoped they would come back for her, and waited for several days for her family to return, but sadly this never happened.
Family abandoned their dog after 15 years

No one can understand why Cutie’s family decided to take her to the shelter after 15 years, and the fact that she has aged is no reason to abandon someone who has been with you for so many years.
The dog was sad and devastated, but fortunately for her, A Purposeful Rescue took her out of the shelter to give her another chance to be happy and find her the best family.
A kind-hearted person decided to adopt her and provide her with a loving home for the rest of her life. Now her name is Peggy and she is so happy in her new home, living in the present.

Now she is living in a house where she is comfortable and has a loving family who will not abandon her for any reason.
Before adopting an animal, remember that they are a commitment for life, and totally depend on us. As a dog ages, special care increases, and some people do not feel physically and financially able to care for them.

This time, Peggy was lucky enough to find a home to spend her golden years in, but many dogs are not adopted, and being older is one of the reasons why some are euthanized daily in shelters.

Taking care of an older dog can be difficult, but don’t forget that they are part of the family and that they have unconditional love for us; and they just hope that that feeling is paid back in the same way by their favorite people.
