Pinocchio is a 3-month-old kitten, who was rescued mid-June in the city of Los Angeles, California (USA). When found, he looked like a 5–6-week-old baby, and when rescuers received him, the feline was happy to get the attention to get better.
Little Pinocchio had a mild upper respiratory tract infection, an umbilical hernia, and the appearance of his nose and mouth were different; giving it a special look.
The Friends for Life Rescue Network shelter took care of the little cat. There, they discovered that her appearance was due to a birth defect that gives her jawline its misaligned appearance.
The little kitten is so happy to attract attention
The feline arrived extremely thin and covered in fleas, dehydrated and malnourished.
Jacqueline DeAmor, founder of Friends for Life Rescue Network, told Love Meow:
“He was extremely hungry and consumed two cans of canned food, which was a ton for his little body.”
With a full stomach, she took a long nap on a warm bed to regain her energy. Gradually and with a nutritious diet, the affectionate little cat began to walk and seek attention and games.
When he sees his rescuers, little Pinocchio gets angry and tries to get their attention with meows and purrs.
Jaqueline added:
“He’s very excited when I walk into the room and he loves to play. He’s exuberant, curious, playful and very sweet. He loves running and chasing balls.”
Pinocchio is a very happy cat and is improving day by day, he is very active and playful, he will soon see a dental specialist and a neurological specialist to get all the help he needs. The cat seems to know that he is in good hands and enjoys visits to the vet.
The director of the shelter says that the cat is happily fluttering about and is very fond of new toys.
Jacqueline comments:
“This little kitten is as playful as can be. He is gaining weight and eating all his food like a champ. Things are looking up for Pinocchio.”
The little cat likes to be the center of attention in the shelter and spreads its paws when people pass by. Pinocchio doesn’t feel any different at all and enjoys every day.
