We all have the right to enjoy the art, science and exhibits of museums and of course kittens are no exception, but unfortunately not all museums think the same.
And one of those museums is the Hiroshima Onomichi Museum of Art, which for the past two years has been welcoming furry visitors who, without paying admission, insist on knowing the works on display there.
It’s about Ken-Chan and Gosaku, two art-loving cats who will do anything to have their own museum night.
Their love and obsession with art began a few years ago, when the museum presented an exhibition of cat photographs by artist Mitsuaki Iwago.
Two Cats In Japan Have Been Trying To Sneak Into A Museum For Years
As if it were something magical, a black kitten tried to enter the museum very safely and elegantly behind the rest of the museum visitors, which was the best marketing strategy for the event: a kitten looking at pictures of cats. However, the guard tried to prevent him from entering and sent him home.
It would all have ended there, if not for the fact that a few months later the visitor returned, but this time accompanied by a red-haired kitten who was also drawn to the exhibit.
Unfortunately, their desire was not enough to enter and they were sent home.
And since then, the kittens have settled near the museum in the hope of realizing their dream of entering and meeting him.
The team that works and lives in the museum has shown its sympathy for this couple of visitors and although they do not allow them to enter either, they do not miss the opportunity to take some photos with them and to posting on social media what made these amazing felines in some internet celebrities…it looks like works of art.
In the future they may be able to enter, as guests of honour, but for now they are content to be cherished, admired and loved for what they are: a wonderful work of art. feline art.
