Abby Riley was rescued from the streets and put in a cage at the Adams County Kennel. Soon after, they noticed that she was always running away from her dog to lie next to another dog, a German Shepherd.
The two dogs formed a special bond, but much to Abby’s dismay, her friend was quickly adopted. Abby was not a social dog and needed training. After six months, this dog also found a loving, forever home! And soon after, his owners wanted to find him a new friend.
Abby’s family turned to Animal House TV’s Rebecca and Alicia to help them find Abby a new friend. And Rebecca and Alicia discovered that the dog she had become attached to when she was at the kennel had been returned to her!
Could it be more perfect? Rebecca and Alicia picked up the German Shepherd and prepared him for a meeting with Abby. At first, they were curious because it had been a long time since they had seen each other.
But the two dogs didn’t need much time: they remembered each other! This shows you that not only can humans be best friends for life, but so can dogs!
