It was supposed to be a day like any other, but fate had other plans for the animal adoption center employee. As soon as she crossed the threshold of the shelter, she immediately noticed a shadow waiting for her just outside the front door. Someone needed his help, but it wasn’t one of his furry charges. The fight against time began: the poor dog needed urgent help.

A shelter employee came to work in the morning. He was waiting for her there

One sunny morning at the headquarters of an animal adoption center, one of the employees arrives at work, expecting a day like any other. Little did she know that this morning was about to drastically change her life.

As she crossed the threshold of the shelter, she immediately noticed a shadow waiting for her just outside the front door. It was the silhouette of a frightened creature crouched on a delivery bag. A dog with sad eyes, abandoned the day before, was waiting to be found.

Vets fought for her for a long time and ultimately lost

The shocking truth was only revealed later when shelter workers viewed the surveillance footage. It turned out the dog had been abandoned the night before, around 7 p.m. Since then, he hadn’t even removed one of his paws from the delivery bag. Fortunately, after 11 hours of agony, someone came to free him from this terrible uncertainty.

Unfortunately, all was not well with the dog’s health. One of the animal’s legs immediately caught the staff’s attention.

The leg appears to have been broken due to impact trauma. X-rays showed the dog’s right humerus had a serious, complete fracture near the elbow. There is no evidence of abrasions from driving on the asphalt, so we do not believe he was hit by a vehicle, the shelter wrote.

He was nicknamed Cowboy by shelter workers. Unfortunately, his leg was badly damaged and had to be amputated. But it was a real sigh of relief for Cowboy who stopped suffering and was able to start a new life full of hope and love. A chance for a second life, without pain, had opened up for him.
