In Turkey, a woman has built a ladder to help homeless cats get out of the winter cold. Şebnem Ilhan is a woman who works as a dentist in the city of Tekirdag and she loves cats, so she could not see these animals suffering in the cold and that’s why she had this idea and they accepted her invitation to enter.
Sebnem Ilhan told The Dodo:
“I made the ladder so the cats could fit into the comfort of my home.”
This woman built a ladder so the cats could get in

She decided to turn her house into a cat shelter in the winter.

The woman didn’t know how her neighbors would react to this prop in her window, so she adorned it with flowerpots.

She said:
“I thought if I put a few pots in there, nobody would mind.”

But he was well received, especially by the countless cats who took advantage of his offer to enter a warm place to rest.

She has not only helped animals in need in this way, as Ilhan also volunteers her time to care for homeless dogs and cats at a local shelter.

She said:
“I want no animal to be hungry or thirsty, only to be happy. The world is not just for people.”
