The New York City Subway is one of the most iconic underground public transportation systems in the world, as well as one of the most extensive. With more than 400 functional stations and despite its known flaws or poor hygiene, it is the preferred way for New Yorkers to get from one place to another in the wealthy American city.
This has been the scene on many occasions where a multitude of totally implausible things have been seen, where people have come to carry all kinds of things, from heavy loads to pets. However, with regard to the latter, since 2016 a law has come into force that prohibits the entry of various animals and is only allowed if they fit in a bag, backpack or container.

It is for this reason that many inhabitants of ‘The Big Apple’ have since managed to circumvent this famous rule, as long as they do not leave behind their furry friends. One recently went viral on social media, a woman who carries her giant dog on her back as long as she can get it into the system.
The video, which has more than 7 million views so far, was uploaded to TikTok by user Littlebearlumi. In this you can see how the Samoyed breed dog, called Lumi, calmly moves on the back of its owner, looking everywhere and sticking out its tongue, something very cute.
According to Newsweek, Jackie Hornung, from this town, says her adorable little tenderloin is one and a half years old, about 60cm tall and weighs almost 54kg. She says he “likes to be carried” and is “pretty calm” when he puts it in his special backpack, which he specially designed to carry on his back.
She explains that this piece of equipment is quite spacious, so neither its tail nor its legs crush, plus it has “a good platform at the bottom” for the dog to “sit naturally”.
The clip amassed around 645,000 likes and almost 3,000 comments, with most people applauding the young woman’s strategy.

“It’s better than having to leave them alone,” commented a user. “The cutest marshmallow plush ball,” someone wrote. “It’s like your baby,” added a third.
