“My mother cannot support me; she is homeless and has two children. He tried his best, but received no help,” the woman said in a note. However, a few days later he came back for her, and the shelter that took her in promised to help her find a home where everyone could live in peace.
Lilo is a dog who had been abandoned by her owner at the McKamey Animal Center shelter, although for a very sad reason. Fearing that they would not accept the entrance of the kind dog, the woman decided to leave her at the entrance of the place with a painful word.
“My name is Lilo. Please love me. My mother cannot support me, she is homeless and has two children. He has tried his best, but cannot get help. It costs too much. She really loves me; I’m a big bitch and I love being loved. Please don’t mistreat me,” he wrote in the handwritten note.
Many may have simply judged and criticized the woman, but she seems to have made the right decision to leave Lilo with them, as they understood how difficult it must have been for her to leave the little dog alone.
“Note to Lilo’s Mom: We’re sorry you had to make the decision to leave her behind. We know many people are struggling to care for their pets right now. We know how how hard it must be to give up an animal you obviously loved because you can’t give it the care it needs. We understand that,” they said.
However, they still urged her to come back for her, as it was clear how much she missed Lilo. “We want her to know that she is safe and that we will take the best care of her, but if you are reading this, we hope you will come and claim her,” they said.
“We will help you with whatever you need to take care of her, to the best of our abilities. Lilo definitely misses you, and we would love nothing more than to see her back with the family she loves. Either way, please know that we understand you, we won’t judge you and we’re here to help you in any way we can.”
The woman may have read the note from the foundation or she just felt too sorry to have left her, so a few days later, remorseful, she came back for her. The dog was the happiest. He would finally return to his loving family.
“We have an amazing update on Lilo to share with you all…her owner has been found!” They would not be left alone in this difficult time.
