Many people have rescue dogs and cats that have a history. Some fell in love with their adorable faces, others wanted a life partner or just had an urge to do a good deed. One of the best reasons to adopt a pet is to save a life. You will be the hero and the best friend of this animal; he will love you unconditionally and will be keen to please you. By saving an animal, you are giving it a second chance at life. There are many animals that end up in a rescue organization that need to be adopted and loved by a human. Our pets fill our days with joy and lots of light, they are our life companions and accompany us in good times and bad.
Pets not only provide you with unconditional love and support, they have also proven to be psychologically, emotionally, and physically beneficial to their companions. Caring for a pet can provide a sense of purpose and fulfillment and alleviate feelings of loneliness. By adopting, you can also be proud to help an animal in need. Another interesting aspect of adoption is that when your friends ask you where you found your amazing pet, you can tell them “at the shelter”. Adopting them can encourage others to do the same and raise awareness.
Today we are going to share a great story with a happy ending. It’s a cat named Stella.
The tabby cat was found around two years ago at the foot of the escarpment digging through rubbish, looking for food scraps. Her fur was matted and she was skin and bones.
A woman named Kat Von G rescued this street cat whose eye looks a bit peculiar. She had no idea how much this cat would change her life forever! Stella’s eyes are unique due to a condition called heterochromia iridum. Despite her appearance, Stella is very healthy and has excellent eyesight.
Kat Von G rescued her and took her to her tent and started feeding and cleaning her. Stella has since stayed and started helping out at the store.
Reddit user Tory_Rox told Love Meow:
This beautiful girl lives at my friend’s work. I think it’s a mix of Maine Coon and Persian since Persians have copper eyes like that. The eye works perfectly and near the iris you can see flecks of natural green through it.
The adorable kitty decided to return the favor by helping his human run the store.
The user adds:
Stella loves to greet customers as they enter the store. Everyone (including me) still assumes she’s blind in that eye, but it’s just mismatched coloring. Lots of people stop by the store every day just to say hello to Stella.
