Dealing with homelessness from the first weeks of life is a challenge that not all animals are able to meet. For at least the first two months after birth, kittens should have their mother’s attentive care and a warm place. Unfortunately, a litter of five kittens was not so lucky. A group of children was found on the street. The dogs were malnourished and infested with fleas. Everything indicated that they had lost their mother. Fortunately, they found people who decided to help them. It turned out that children can repay the care they show.
Five kittens wandered down the street
Five kittens, only a few weeks old, wandered the streets of one of the big cities. Fortunately, the animals were noticed by people who were not indifferent to their fate. The babies were cared for by a local organization that helps homeless animals.
The kittens were in serious condition. All were severely malnourished and infested with fleas. The specialists immediately set about feeding them and making their bodies hygienic. After the bath, they looked like completely different creatures. Luckily, most of the cubs proved to be strong and ready to fight for their survival.
One of the babies could not be saved
Unfortunately, it was too late to help any of the kittens. The smallest and most emaciated individual did not survive, despite careful care by professionals. He had been deprived of the care of his mother and loved ones for too long.
The activists greatly regretted not being able to save all the siblings. However, they knew there was still something to fight for. The four kittens quickly regained their strength and became more and more confident. It was an exceptionally brave and colorful litter. Each kitten was very different from the others. They are named after certain Star Wars characters: Princess Leia, Chewy, Vader and Luke.
The kittens went to a foster home run by Ashley. It turned out that the woman was particularly fond of little Leia, a cat who a few days earlier seemed terribly sad and withdrawn.
One of the kittens showed a unique character
Leia bonded to her new tutor exceptionally quickly. She clearly showed her displeasure by leaving the house. She grew more and more every day. She took every opportunity to give Ashley a hug. She showed her a lot of affection, as if she wanted to thank her for saving her life, as well as that of her siblings.
The woman quickly became the most important part of the little cat’s daily life.
The four siblings were growing like weeds. After a few weeks, they were ready to be adopted. However, Ashley decided not to abandon all the kittens. She knew she had a special bond with Leia. She couldn’t give it to anyone else.
The woman only intended to raise the babies and pass them on to the world. She didn’t expect to encounter a kitten with a unique temperament among the stray litter.
