Harry Jones, the adoptive father of an adorable kitten named Helen, was quite worried about his seemingly a little sick feline companion. The kitten started urinating inside the house and scratching at the front door, but when he took her to the vet to check on her, they told her Helen just had it I’m tired of him being with her all the time.
The man works in communications and lives in Salford Quays in Greater Manchester. He remembers seeing her a little sad and a little downcast for several days, which was not very common with his faithful feline companion.
Harry told Metro UK:
“She was acting a bit strange, scratching at the front door and meowing loudly, generally acting out of character… She was really letting me know she wasn’t happy. I was quite worried. I thought that maybe I had an infection or something.”

Harry recalls:
“We had an emergency appointment and the vet told me that she was physically fine. He asked me if anything had changed recently and I explained that I had undergone an operation. ear a few weeks ago that I picked up at home. But he said it changed Helen’s routine, that she was used to me going out and working normally.”
The vet explained that being home with her all day changed her routine and what Helen wanted was space. The emergency appointment cost him $60 plus $37 extra for devices to help calm him down, but Harry sees no harm in helping Helen feel better and at ease.
Sign of the stress she was going through with the changes in her routine, Helen tore up one of her books and also sulked every time Harry’s roommate came home after spending the day at the office.
Harry added:
“She’s usually quite cuddly and likes to sleep in my bed with me and things like that. But she’s clearly gotten a little tired of me.”

However, Harry said she was “still craving a bit of attention”, despite her new behavior.
