Alan is a crooked-faced dog who has become very popular on the internet, thanks to his funny and curious videos.
A puppy adopted from an animal rescue center rose to fame on TiK Tok, after his dad started sharing funny videos of the adorable, crooked-faced dog in an attempt to silence people calling him ” ugly”.
Alan is a one-year-old puppy, from a cross between a Saluki and a Boxer, who suffers from a severe facial deformity, which gives him a peculiar appearance. This deformity causes your nose to twist and tilt to the right, causing you to constantly show your bottom teeth.
Despite his physical problems, several videos and images captured by his father were posted on various social networks and made him an internet star.
The dog with the crooked face is popular on the Internet
The photos show the playful dog sitting with dad on the couch and grabbing a delicious treat from the kitchen counter. He can also be seen playing with his family and foster siblings at home, and he enjoys jumping around the room.
Although the dog is now enjoying his new life alongside Johanna, her husband Dan, their daughter Darcy and other rescued pets, he has had a rough start.
Alan was found at the age of two months living on the streets of Doha, Qatar, with his mother, father and seven siblings. They took him to a rescue center where Johanna first saw him ten months ago and decided to stay with him.
Johanna said according to the Daily Mail:
As soon as I saw Alan and his crooked face, I knew I was going to adopt him. I couldn’t just walk away, I was instantly hooked.
The woman fell completely in love with Alan’s crooked face, but within days she realized that not everyone found the puppy’s appearance to be cute. So he decided to show off how handsome he is inside and out, through a Tik Tok account, ironically called โAlan the Ugly Dogโ.

Impressed with Alan’s fame, Johanna hopes the puppy’s Tik Tok will encourage more people to adopt dogs with special needs.
Johanna commented:
I had a lot of nasty comments about Alan’s appearance. People have told me that they will give me money so that he can have surgery and repair his face, but there is no way.
In fact, the woman took Alan to the vet to be evaluated for possible surgery and to avoid possible breathing problems. But, after he was assessed, they concluded that he had no problem; he was in perfect health.
To operate on Alan, it would be necessary to break him and readjust his nose and his jaw, it would be an immense pain for something purely cosmetic; it wouldn’t make sense.
Johanna said:
I also get a lot of nasty comments about her TikTok username. People find it offensive, but it’s meant to be ironic.
Johanna added:
Haters can say whatever they want, but Alan is our dog and we know he is beautiful and truly special.
Despite people’s negative comments, they also receive thousands of positive comments that show the affection of Alan’s fans. Now he can’t go anywhere without being recognized, and people look at him and say, “Look, that’s Tik Tok’s dog.”
Johanna said:
Most of the comments and messages we get on your TikTok are very positive. People love it.
The woman takes the opportunity to say that the dogs adopted from shelters turn out to be the most amazing, as they will always be grateful to their adoptive family.
Johanna added:
It’s like a natural therapy dog. Soak up all the anxiety and stress from this year, you just get your hands on Alan and it all fades away. he doesn’t know what it looks like, so he doesn’t mind, he’s a happy little dog.
Alan will continue to enjoy his good life and show everyone that being different is not a problem or a barrier to happiness.
