The owner of a cat named Simon recorded her first meeting with her newborn kittens. The four-legged friend was not sure how to behave because he had never had contact with kittens before. However, when he saw the two little creatures, he felt a strong bond between them.
In the animal world, the role of guardian of the offspring is usually assumed instinctively by the female. As with any rule, there are some exceptions. In some creatures, the proud father plays an important role in raising the little ones. Although it is the male penguins who take the podium, Simon the cat also proved to be an excellent dad.
The cat saw a little kitten for the first time in his life
The owner of the feline group decided to introduce two newborn kittens to her adult pet. However, before this exciting encounter could take place, she grabbed the camera and started recording.
In the video, we see that Simon is initially a little intimidated by the sight of fluffy balls lying on a purple towel. He cautiously crawls onto the bed and looks at his mistress in confusion, as if wondering what exactly is going on. When the woman brings one of the kittens to Simon, the handsome man with blue eyes carefully sniffs his face. The scent of a kitten that is only a few days old must be completely new to him!
“Are you sure it’s mine?”
In the following seconds of the video, we see that the cat approaches the little creatures with more and more confidence. She nuzzles them and sniffs them from every possible angle. Has his paternal instinct started to awaken? We have the feeling that it is only a matter of time before he lets the little ones snuggle up to his soft fur.
Even though we don’t know if Simon is the biological father of the children, it doesn’t seem to matter to him. It’s a shame that during the filming of the movie, the little ones still didn’t open their eyes and therefore didn’t realize who was staring at them with such concentration. The pet sitter can’t wait for her new pets to start exploring the world around them!
