A sweet 3-legged orange cat named Bubby was wandering the streets looking for food when he met a kind man over 8 years ago. The adorable feline, which had also lost part of its tail, calmly walked into the man’s kitchen and befriended his pet cat named Seson.
The three-legged kitten called from the doorway for her new feline friend to share some playtime; their friendship was amazing, sadly Seson passed away some time later. The man and his family wanted Bubby off the streets, but the cat did not feel comfortable inside the house and demanded to leave after each visit.
Bubby continued to visit the man and soon earned her own place and a set of dishes. The guy took care of the orange kitten until he sadly passed away a few years later.
The 3-legged cat returned home where he was helped

The man wanted to make sure they could take care of his friend, but despite his family’s best efforts, the cat only came home once after that. They looked for it everywhere and left food every day, but they always found the plate intact.
Eventually, and after a long time and several attempts, there was no sign of Bubby and the family began to imagine the worst.

Around the summer of 2019, a familiar figure appeared in the neighborhood. Everything indicated that it was Bubby, heading for the house where he had found kindness long ago. Ray Pincen, a neighbor of the place, immediately recognized the 3-legged cat, because he knew the beautiful complicity between his deceased neighbor and his faithful cat.
The tabby looked much older and looked rather weak after many years on the streets. These years did not seem to have been easy for the cat.

Bubby was in urgent need of veterinary help, and Ray’s attempts to save him were rather difficult. After a few months of trying to capture it, as winter set in, Ray grew increasingly worried, fearing the cat would not survive long.
Determined, Ray approached what was once the kitten’s friend’s house. The current owner only saw Bubby once in a while and didn’t seem interested in the feline.
Ray kindly asked him to open the door the next time he saw the cat and he would immediately come for him.

The next day, Ray received a call, the cat was in the kitchen of his neighbor’s house. He ran to get him and immediately brought him to Exploits Valley SPCA Adoptables. They didn’t know if Bubby would make it, but they wanted to try as much as possible.
Sarah MacLeod, an Exploits Valley SPCA Adoptables volunteer, told Love Meow:
“Bubby was dehydrated and battered and all. He was sent to the vet and wouldn’t have survived another storm. The vet said he started purring while he was on the exam table. “

While Bubby was recovering, her former friend’s daughter saw the post about the cat’s situation on social media.
Shelter staff say:
“She went ahead and told me Bubby’s story. She cried when she saw him and brought him his plates. Bubby now eats off the plates he once licked at the man’s.”

Upon learning of Bubby’s story, Sarah offered to take care of him.
She said :
“I knew I wanted to keep Bubby forever before bringing him home. We weren’t looking for a cat, so my boyfriend needed convincing.”

Bubby felt at home right away, he doesn’t let anything stop him, he’s a sweet boy and he knows how to get what he wants with those sweet sad eyes. He knows he will never receive a refusal.
The 3-legged cat finally has a loving family. He also has a friend whom he follows as his faithful companion. Also, Sarah’s cats have taken her under their wing and still shower her with love and cuddles.

Sarah finally added:
“I feel lucky to have him, he will be extremely pampered for the rest of his life.”
