Seven-year-old Cameron Donaldson has drawn his own ‘Lost’ poster after his beloved dog was stolen from his father’s van in the town of Hyde, Greater Manchester, England.

The miner wrote on the sheet next to the drawing of his dog Ralph, a Boston Terrier breed: “We miss him very much, we want him home.” The dog, who was abducted Wednesday morning from the father’s work vehicle, is taking medication to fight a life-threatening illness.

The sign reads, “He’s cute and fluffy and he’s so handsome. He knows us as much as we knew him. We miss him so much; we just want him home.” Camron’s mother, Stacey, said the boy was “heartbroken” and couldn’t stop crying.

Stacey and her partner Craig Andrews offer a $1,000 reward for Ralph’s safe return. They also handed out flyers and checked any closed-circuit cameras nearby.

The mum said: “We’ve had Ralph since he was a puppy. He’s quite an anxious dog, he doesn’t like to be alone so he’ll always work with Craig.” She added that Ralph was taken away after Craig left for a few minutes to unload some things from his truck.

Update:

A neighbor in the town of Salford, about 15 kilometers to the northwest, contacted Stacey on Monday, saying he had found the dog.

The woman explained that her son could not contain his joy and nearly climbed out the window to get out to receive the animal when he was brought home.

Meanwhile, the #BringRalphHome hashtag continues to be used online by other users who similarly search for their pets, including cats, birds and even turtles.
