Chihuahuas are incredibly brave despite their small size. They do not recognize or understand the size of other canine breeds that may rise above them; however, they do not flinch, often taking on foes up to four times their size with bravery and strength.
Pincky, a tiny chihuahua from the Compostela municipality of Nayarit, Mexico, caused a stir on social media for his brave defense of his home when a thief broke in and attacked him with an intimidating pitchfork, object used for plowing the land.
The feat of the brave little dog is proof that even those of us who consider ourselves weak can find the strength to stand up against injustice.
A small and brave chihuahua was attacked while defending his house
After the burglar broke into the house, it wasn’t until hours later that Pincky was discovered; his body was wedged between the gallows. He was immediately rushed to the emergency room, where vets worked to save his life.
When the pup arrived at the veterinary hospital, doctors were surprised to find a pitchfork still stuck in its body: it had penetrated from the spine to one of its limbs and testicles. Fortunately, none of these vital organs were harmed by this dangerous tool.
Staff at the Animal Center Pet Shop veterinary clinic said on the Facebook account about Pincky’s condition:
“One of the fork tips went through the spine into a testicle, and another through the whole leg, thankfully neither of which pierced a vital organ. After undergoing surgery, we were waiting to see how he would react because the infection was very serious.”
This brave animal spent an entire week at the clinic, monitored and cared for by a veterinarian to ward off infections from his wounds. Luckily for him and his family, he emerged victorious and joined them at home.
After careful consideration, the family decided to report their Chihuahua’s attacker to the authorities for justice.
